Visual aid for every need

LVI Low Vision International strives to make every day easier for people with visual impairments. By offering really good products and services, we facilitate and enable an active life for visually impaired throughout the world. We invest more resources than ever in continuing the development of world-class intelligent products with high quality. Simplicity is the cornerstone of everything we develop. It should be easy to understand and use our products regardless of how complex they are on the inside.

From then to now

In 1972, Mr. Bernt Mannesson developed the first Swedish video magnifier: MagniVision. Subsequent to that developmental breakthrough, he was the advocate for the foundation of LVI Low Vision International in 1978.

In the middle of the eighties, the first international leap forward was taken and subsidiaries were founded, for example in Norway and shortly after in Denmark. Development was taken another step further with the production of the first color system called MagniLink 609. Even today the name MagniLink is used as a trademark of all our products.

In the late nineties LVI Low Vision International became certified according to ISO 9001:2000 for its quality management systems, and ISO 14001 for its environmental management. LVI was the first company in the industry that received such certification.

Over the years the company has grown substantially and become more recognized both nationally and internationally. LVI today have subsidiaries not only in Norway and Denmark but also in Switzerland, Germany, France and the US. The company group has around 60 employees. Just as before, all development and production take place in Sweden.

In the year of 2018, LVI Low Vision International celebrated 40 years in the industry and we look forward to many interesting years to come, with the strive to make every day easier for people with visual impairments.
