Dealer tour in Europe and Charity event at the Monza Circuit

Christofer Casswall, International Sales Manager and Henrik Blomdahl, CEO, from LVI went on a dealer tour in southern Europe last week and visited several of both LVI's and our subsidiary Visus Technologies' dealers. Among other things, they showed off our latest products in our range and met new contacts. A valuable trip in many ways with positive contacts and exchange of experiences.

Durin the tour, Christofer and Henrik visited a non-profit charity event, 6 wheels of Hope (6 Ruote di Speranza), which is held annually at the well-known Monza circuit – this year for the 36th time.

The aim of the event is to give people with disabilities a day full of joy and opportunities. More than 300 officials, 400 drivers and 1200 visitors with disabilities gathered for a full day of fun activities where the icing on the cake was getting to drive a sports car on the Monza racing circuit.

The sports cars and their drivers were selected, voluntarily registered private individuals who showed up with their own cars and covered the costs themselves.

Here you can see most of the cars that were on site during the event.

In addition to this, the military, police, and fire departments were on site to show off some of their vehicles and activities. There was also truck driving, vintage cars, go-karting, and more available for the visitors.

Both the police and the fire service exhibited their vehicles during the event.

This is how the organizers describe the event: "Functional variation is no longer an obstacle and the world of motorsports has changed. At least today. No one wins, because everyone wins – and the finish line of Monza becomes a magnificent symbol of togetherness." LVI participated in the event and Henrik and Christofer will never forget the smiles that greeted them from the children who settled into the sports cars and disappeared onto the track to the sound of high-powered sports cars revving. A 13-year-old boy who participated in the event put it this way: "Paradise must be like 6 Wheels of Hope".

An unusually inclusive pizza restaurant

One of our Italian retailers is also organizing a pizza night at restaurant PizzAut in connection with the event. The restaurant currently has 41 employees, all of whom have autism. Over time, they have built up a restaurant environment and a business where all these individuals are given the best conditions to do a good job with the restaurant's customers, and today the restaurant is so famous that there is a waiting time of months to reserve a table.

"We are a big family and we love each other," said one of the waiters employed.

It was amazing to see the warmth and passion that both the owner and staff radiated. A visit is highly recommended for anyone passing by. Just make sure to book well in advance!
